- Gently slide the baby into the cocoon, making sure the baby is comfortably positioned and that the face and airways always remain completely clear. For sleeping, the baby must always be placed on the back, on a firm, clear mattress, with no pillow, blanket, cot bumper or other object around them. Swaddling must be stopped as soon as the baby shows signs of trying to roll over, even if this happens before 4 months. Also make sure not to overdress the baby and to choose their clothing according to the room temperature.
