Privacy FAQ

we're here to help

privacy policy

Last updated: 22.10.2026

How we handle your personal data, in short. The full rules are in our privacy policy.

contact us

the basics

who is responsible for my data?

Tummy Time GmbH, Im Chrummacher 7, 8706 Meilen, Switzerland, hello@tummytime.ch. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for customers in the EU and EEA, the GDPR.

what data do you collect?

Only what we need. When you order: name, address, email, phone (optional), and order and payment details. When you write to us: your message. On our website, and only if you accept cookies: how you use the site.

do you collect data about children?

No. Our products are for babies and children, but our shop is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

orders & payment

why do you need my data when I order?

To process and deliver your order, take payment, handle returns and warranty cases, and keep the accounting records Swiss law requires.

do you see my card details?

No. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments (Stripe), PayPal, TWINT and Klarna. We never see your full card number.

who receives my data? do you sell it?

We don't sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run the shop, under contract and only as needed: Shopify (shop platform), the payment providers, Swiss Post (delivery), bexio (accounting) and Google Workspace (email). The full list is in our privacy policy.

emails & messages

will you send me marketing emails?

Only if you sign up for our newsletter. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.

what happens when I ask for a back-in-stock alert?

We use your email and the product only to tell you when it is available again.

do you use AI to answer my emails?

AI tools help us draft replies, prepare orders and analyse our shop, with model training on our data switched off. A person at Tummy Time reviews every reply before it is sent, and no decision about you is taken automatically.

what happens when I message you on Instagram or Facebook?

Each platform is responsible for its own processing. We see what you share with us, such as comments and messages.

cookies & statistics

do you use cookies?

Necessary cookies keep the shop working (cart, checkout, login). Statistics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta) are set only if you accept them in our cookie banner.

do you record my visit?

Only if you accept statistics cookies: Microsoft Clarity can record how you scroll and click on our pages. It masks what you type.

how do I change my cookie choice?

At any time, with "cookies" in the footer of every page.

storage & retention

is my data processed outside Switzerland?

Some providers process data in the EU and EEA, the UK, Canada, the USA, Singapore or India. These countries are recognised as offering adequate protection, or the provider uses standard contractual clauses or binding corporate rules.

how long do you keep my data?

Order and accounting records: 10 years, as Swiss law requires. Customer account: until you delete it. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Customer care emails: up to 2 years after the last contact, unless needed for a warranty case. Statistics: at most 14 months.

how do you protect my data?

With encryption in transit, access limited to the people who need it, and providers with recognised security standards.

your rights

what are my rights?

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy of the data you gave us, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent at any time.

how do I ask for my data or have it deleted?

Write to hello@tummytime.ch. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity.

where can I complain?

Write to us first. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU and EEA, to the data protection authority of your country.
